Performance World coverage from stanceiseverything.com

I did take a few pictures at the show, but progressing 200 feet in 2 hours doesn’t give many photo opps.  I found a link for PW pics through this Canadian Rodder thread about the show.  Great pics, great quantity… check out the rest of the site too!

Performance World Toronto

My dad and I will be heading to Performance World this Friday, March 12.  Hope to see you there!

As a bonus, the Feature Builder of the Year is Dream Machines Ltd.  John Edwards is a very talented young man (can a young guy call someone a young man?) and a good friend of the Welder Series family.  His work is always neat and tidy and definitely deserves this award.  Congratulations, John!

Hot rod shop hourly rates/billing

I came across this thread on the HAMB and thought I’d share it… I’m sure there are both shop owners and customers reading this blog, and there is some good discussion on everything from man hours vs. “hourly rate”, consumables, overhead, etc.

Tech Week Threads: Jan 11-18

Click here to see what the HAMB has been cooking up for the latest tech week!  Everything from widening early Ford wire wheels to a really cool way to use those extra SBC centerbolt valve covers you’ve got lying around.

Welder Series MySpace page

Thanks to Red over at Red’s MT (Mini Truck) Auto News, who suggested I get a MySpace page to be cooler, I now have a MySpace page.  And I’m cooler.  So if you’re on MySpace, visit MySpace.com/welderseries to “connect” with “me”.

Thanks Red!

HAMB is good to us…

A new customer in Nova Scotia posted this thread after he bought our Mustang II crossmember plates, and then some fellow HAMBers added their two cents to the mix.

This is where two cents adds up to more than just spare change… it’s building a reputation.

Front End Wobble thread on the H.A.M.B.

This is a great thread which goes through a whole bunch of diagnostic tests for trying to solve a front end wobble on a solid axle front suspension.

Click here to go to the thread.  There is lots of great information here, especially once Dick Spadaro starts troublshooting.  If your front end is dancing long after the music stops, you’ll want to check this out.
