Check back for more Louisville updates
I’ll be adding pictures and possibly videos from the show, so if you’re not here you can check in here for updates.
If you know of another link that has Louisville 2010 pics, feel free to link to them in the comments below.
Rainy drive in the ’32
Here's a video I took out the back window showing the rooster tails from the '32. Compare this with the next tractor trailer that passes you in a rain storm... who's churning up more water?
We’re Here!
After a mostly dry, sometimes rainy, occasionally bumpy ride from Ontario to Louisville (about 750 miles), we're here at La Quinta just down the road from the fairgrounds.
T Shirts!
Once again, Brian Stupski of Problem Child Kustoms put on his magic cape and sorcerer's cap to pull off a neat-o T shirt for all of us "simpletons" to enjoy.
Louisville
I can tell it's almost time for Louisville... my arms are sliding around on my desk as I type.
Dear Welder Series… adjuster studs
Are the adjuster studs available with a flat base, so they could be welded to a flat plate rather than a tube?
Dear Welder Series… pro street rear four link
I have 2 questions on your Pro Street Rear 4 link kit.
What is the sidewall thickness of the link bars (is this the same for all of your 4 links?)
Dear Welder Series… MII brake kit
These plates 21362 for adapting Camaro rotors... what size and year rotors are intended to mount up?
1950 Olds Mustang II installed
Here are two pictures sent in by a customer who recently installed our 56" coil-over Mustang II kit in his 1950 Oldsmobile.
Syracuse Nationals 2010 Pics
I managed to get out of the booth a few times to walk around and take some pictures at this years Syracuse Nationals.
Dear Welder Series… 1950 Merc Mustang II
I have a 1950 Mercury I was looking at your crossmember for Mustang 2 set up.
13 of the best hot rod engines
Walking the 2010 LA Roadster Show, I started snapping shots of the dazzling chrome works of four-stroke art found in the roadsters and hot rods in the show. Where else to place the prized and uber-rare speed parts for your flathead than out for the world to see in an open engine bay?
Homemade Tool Dep’t: C clip pliers
I won’t mention what car these were made for (it’s a little “off-topic” as they say on the HAMB), but the results should be universal. The goal was to remove a huge C clip that was holding a pooched bearing in place. I didn’t have anything large or sturdy enough to squeeze the two holes in the clip far enough to remove it from the groove it was in. Here’s the type of C clip I’m talking about:

So, what we ended up with was a set of vice grips with two small Robertson drill bits welded to the jaws, like this:
It worked great!
PCK Studio strikes again! Sweet banners…
Brian has drawn up some more slick signage for our display. I think we’ll slap it on the side of the trailer, too. This guy is a real talent – he’s able to translate a few words into a beautiful picture – and it’s always relevant… from mountains to George Foreman riding a huge bug. Trust me, it makes sense.

Oh, here’s the signs:
