Paul just got his 1937 Dodge humpback back from Grant Schwartz… could it sit any better?? Grant installed a Welder Series Mustang II kit and a new Hemi, along with some other frame work. Make a point to check out Grant’s website – lots of really neat projects, many using Welder Series parts!
Nice pics on that install of that crossmember, what was your spindle drop with tubular aframes and spindles
compared to the orginal spindle on that drop axle?
I’m building a 37 ply coupe, same frame as your humpback.
Thanks for the info. Rene.
Cannot tell exactly but it was a whole bunch!!!!
Probably 7 inches or so.
I did use stock spindles so could lower another 2 inches but oil pan would drag the ground.
If I was going to do it again I would move the crossmeber down to give more clearance for the drivetrain.
Hope this helps.
Paul
