Product Details
Brand: Welder Series
Thickness: 3/16"
Perfect for classic and mini truck enthusiasts, this universal step notch kit makes dropping the frame past the rear axle simple and precise. With alignment tabs for seamless assembly, this kit is available in two widths—2-5/8” and 3-3/8”—and designed for easy clamping and welding on your workbench.
Key Features:
- Two Widths: Choose from 2-5/8" or 3-3/8" wide outside.
- Ample Clearance: 6-1/2” from the top of the original frame to the top of the notch; notch depth varies based on frame rail height and sweep.
- Durable Construction: Made from 3/16” pickled and oiled mild steel for long-lasting strength.
- Sold in Pairs: Complete with integral inner frame rail boxing plates for added stability, welding to both upper and lower flanges of a C-channel frame rail.
- Flexible Options: Choose between a ready-to-weld kit to save money or a pre-welded kit to save time. The ready-to-weld kit takes under an hour to assemble.
- Easy Off-Frame Welding: Most welding is done off the frame for optimal positioning, ensuring quality welds. Simply position and weld it to the frame rail once assembled.
Installation Benefits:
- Alignment Tabs: Ensures proper alignment with no guesswork, making clamping and tacking simple.
- Smooth Transition: Notch sits on the outer top corner of the frame rail, and welds can be ground for a seamless finish.
