Dear Welder Series…
I have a 1932 Fiat pickup and am considering a Mustang II front crossmember for it. What information do you need from me to build a unit for this application.
Thanks
Don
Dear Don…
Don, is your Fiat going to be fenderless, or will you use the stock fenders? I’m sure the 56″ kit will be good if the truck will be fenderless. “Track width” is a nominal dimension from the wheel mounting surface of one rotor to the other rotor. It will be close to the dimension from the tire tread center to center, depending on the wheel backspacing.
Are you using the stock frame or building a custom one? If you are building a custom frame, our 56″ kit will work with a frame outside dimension of 26″ to 32″, but anything over 30″ will likely require some notching on the outside for coil-over clearance.
If you are using the stock frame, what is the frame i.d. and o.d.?
How high will the frame be from the ground?
What front tire size will you use?
It will probably help to check out the installation document on our website.
