When we ran a full service chassis fab/turn-key hot rod shop a number of years ago, it was always useful to have threaded things around to weld into the frame for some kind of mount, etc.
Here’s a list of all our threaded things for your reference:
Transmission Crossmember Kit
Great for simple frames, this kit will let you drop the transmission straight down, and the dual bent tube design gives you the ability to place the tailshaft where it needs to go, even a few inches below the frame rail, in almost any frame.
This kit is a simple spin off of our more complete WS132500 kit, but it would be great for simple frames or to add a drop-out transmission crossmember to an existing center section.
The bent tubes allow you to install the transmission lower than the bottom of the frame rails, and by using two tubes, it will fit basically any width frame, from a narrow Model A or pickup to fat fendered Fords.
By adding two bent notched tubes, you can create a simple K member, triangulating from the lower tubes forward and up to the top of the frame rails.
Kit includes two bent tubes, 6″ center tube, four flanges, formed mount, and hardware.
