Dear Welder Series…
Have you or any of your customers ever used the mustang IFS to replace the twin I beam front end?
What measurements would be needed to attempt it?
I realize this is a pretty broad question, but I am just wondering if it’s possible.

What year is your truck?
What size tire do you plan to use?
With the frame at the ride height you plan, what is the dimension from the ground to the bottom of the frame a couple of inches ahead and behind the axle?
From the ground to the top of the frame at the same points?
The inside and outside frame width 4″ ahead and behind spindle centerline?
I’ll get back to you after I get those dimensions.

I’am building a 1929 ford roadster pickup rat rod,I have a 1984 f150 van for parts,is there any way to use the vans front end parts to build a front end for my rat rod.I will be using the motor, trans,and the rear end.Would like to keep it all ford.Thanks for any help.Jerry
Jerry, this will take some planning to get all the pivot points in the right places. Mock everything in place to see how it will look and to see where the various parts will attach to the frame.
This probably won’t be easy, but it will save time and probably money in the long run.
