Triangulated Rear Four Link Package, for Air Springs
GM has used a triangulated rear 4 link in many of their cars for decades. The design eliminates the Panhard bar. To accommodate many frame widths, the formed upper frame brackets may need to be trimmed. Bars are 1″ heavy-wall seamless tubing, tapped one end 3/4-16 and notched for the urethane bushing tube on the other end. Upper bars are about 18″ c-c and lower bars are about 25″ c-c. Shocks can be mounted in one of three holes on the axle brackets. The bracketry for each kit is matched to the OD of the bushing for a clean appearance.
Axle brackets and upper axle tabs are 3/16″ pickled & oiled mild steel. Upper frame brackets are CNC formed 10 gauge pickled & oiled mild steel. The part of the bracket which welds to the frame for the lower frame brackets is 3/16″ thick, and the formed bar brackets are 10 gauge P&O mild steel.
Assembly and installation tips are provided.
