Welder Series engine mounts

Dear Welder Series… LS engine mounts: ours or theirs

Dear Welder Series…
Looking for a universal LS mount to put LS 5.3 vortec in my 61 Buick Bubbletop.  I think your LS200 kit looks like what I have seen on line for $100.00 US with shipping ( my friend has a mailbox in USA). What is current price on your kit? Would rather buy Canadian if price is close! Thanks

Rick

Dear Rick…
Hi, Rick. Welder Series has several kits to mount LS engines. The LS200 is a very slick kit, and costs $170 (Canadian), welded. We have other adapters that let you use stock-style rubber or urethane mounts. In these cases, you will likely have to also use our C005 frame mounts. Here are links to the mounts on our web store:

Welder Series is in Breslau, so if you would like to look at our parts, come on over.

(244 Woolwich St S, Unit 4, Breslau.)

Thanks for thinking of us for your project.

Dear Welder Series…
Hi Paul:
Here is your kit and the USA kit-just trying to see the price difference of $40.00 ($130.00 canadian for the US kit), plus the difference in extra tax ($20.00). They look about the same? Do you make yours there or bring in from USA?

Rick

Dear Rick…
Thanks for sending this, Rick. Welder Series makes all of our own parts right in Breslau. All laser cutting and CNC machining is done locally. Welding is done at our shop.

The mounts pictured might work in your Buick. Our engine mounts come farther off of the block. The frame brackets look to be about the same length. So if it turns out that you need more distance from the block to the frame, ours are longer overall.

Our brackets are cut to the same diameter as the urethane bushing and our tubes are the same diameter as the bushing flange. I feel this looks cleaner than having the bushing flange larger than the tube or the brackets.

All of the welding is TIG. There are never any “worms” joining our parts. I’m pretty sure you have seen the video of DW welding the LS200 in the motor mount section of our webstore, but in case you haven’t, here’s the video:

We also give you the option of welding the engine mounts yourself.

I hope we can win your business based on our quality, Rick.
