Triangulated Rear Four Link Package, for Air Springs
GM has used a triangulated rear 4 link in many of their cars for decades. The design eliminates the Panhard bar. To accommodate many frame widths, the formed upper frame brackets may need to be trimmed. Bars are 1″ heavy-wall seamless tubing, tapped one end 3/4-16 (or 5/8-18 for the standard bushing kit) and notched for the urethane bushing tube on the other end. Upper bars are about 18″ c-c and lower bars are about 25″ c-c. Coil-overs can be mounted in one of three holes on the axle brackets. The bracketry for each kit is matched to the OD of the bushing for a clean appearance.
Axle brackets and upper axle tabs are 3/16″ pickled & oiled mild steel. Upper frame brackets are CNC formed 10 gauge pickled & oiled mild steel. The part of the bracket which welds to the frame for the lower frame brackets is 3/16″ thick, and the formed bar brackets are 10 gauge P&O mild steel.

This package includes the following parts:
- #318500 triangulated rear four link kit (welded or ready-to-weld) with 1-3/4″ wide urethane bushings and 3/4-16 threaded adjusters.
- #21870 axle brackets for air springs
- #474218 frame brackets for upper air spring mount
- #WS154467 crossmember kit for upper shock mount.
The ready-to-weld kit is supplied with everything except the welds… you’re welding the brackets to the frame anyways- you can save $50 and weld the brackets and bars together too!
The welded kit is artfully tig welded in house.
